2 weeks ago...

More than two weeks have gone but my thoughts are still at U2 concerts in Berlin. How to describe it? I will try...
First of all I need to explain, cause some people were asking: why two concerts? Because it is such a good feeling, that you want to feel it again and again. I will never forget the happiness after the first one, when I was thinking: omg it was soooo amazing and I will see the same tomorrow! :)
Why was it so amazing? The first thing: the guys from U2 are perfect in playing music. Moreover they aren't playing only big hits, they simply make a spectacle. The spectacle full of interesting visualizations, full of amazing stories, full of awesome moments. Their every tour give us something different. But when I think about last one in 2009-2010, I remember many complains from fans. A lot of people were saying that U2 is so far away from their fans, that they play always the same songs, only the biggest and the most boring hits. I also heard opinions, that money is the only matter important for them.
This time everything changed. First of all: U2 is playing only small concerts, not so expensive for the fans. They play two or sometimes more gigs in one city with different setlists and they try to remind us older songs. What's better, they are as close to the audience as it is possible. Just look how close:
So when you are on the U2 concert, you always have good view, cause the stage is at the centre of arena, and each part of the audience has the moment when they are close to the band. What is more, during this tour Bono every time takes one person from the audience - some of this lucky people play on guitars, some sing to a microphone with Bono. And always, the fan on the stage is responsible for making a video with a U2 smartphone - then whole audience can see it on big screens, and also, this video is streamed live online. That's how the old U2 is using new technologies! :)
What about the amazing stories, what about the spectacle... Yes, for me every song had right place at this concerts. U2 is telling us a story about them, from the beginning of their music journey which started in Dublin. This story is connected with the last album, where Bono was singing a lot about his childhood and places where he grown up. So the first part of the concert is full of songs from the early years of the band. Songs from first albums are mixed with songs from the last one and believe me... this is awesome mixture, full of energy and good guitar riffs, just look and listen :
Second Berlin concert had place exactly in the day when U2 was celebrating the 39th anniversary - can you feel it??? Omg I was crying there :) I think everyone in the arena was feeling this special atmosphere, and now I can only wait for their concerts in 2016 - can you imagine the 40th anniversary at some concert, maybe in Poland? Please Bono, please come to us then!
Ok... calm down Togama, still a lot of stories to tell... So... after energetic beginning we could hear the songs from new album, Bono was talking about his mother, who died when he was a teenager. For her he wrote a song called "Iris". I love this song and for me it was a special moment at the concert, maybe because I can share Bono's feeling at this case. Next songs were telling us a stories about the Ireland and places which are important for the band. The most amazing was raw version of "Sunday bloody sunday" with Irish impressions and visualizations, omg... I watch it now and I have goosebumps again...
The first part of the concert was finished with my favorite song, "Until the end of the world". I love this record and I think, it always sounds good at the concerts, but this time... it was the best version I've ever heard! and video effects on the big screen were really astonishing, I had a feeling that it is real end of the world...
After "Until the end of the world" the band stepped down from the stage for a little break and in this while audience could hear changed version of "The Fly" - also amazing! Big screen was looking like a Berlin Wall, which was destroyed by the band in the next song. After it we could listen to many older songs, for me the best was the moment, when Bono was singing "Even Better Than The Real Thing":
Next songs gave us many important messages from the band, Bono was talking a lot about the world's problems, for example refugees and war at some countries - especially "Bullet the blue sky" when Bono was singing through big megaphone... So many amazing moments, now it's hard to tell about them all!
I think I must stop now, cause I will never end this post :)
U2 is in good form, really, I recommend their concerts to all sceptics who say that this band is over. Really, Bono and his company are making f***ing amazing shows! and I promise, if you taste it once, U2 will steal your heart. So... now let's cross fingers for some Polish concerts :) See you there!

Kings of Leon at Orange Warsaw Festival

Today I want to tell you about one dream :) Some years ago I had a wish to go for a Kings of Leon concert cause I was listening them a lot and liked their music so much. But... after time and after many different bands in my ears I forgot about some of my dreamings. When they announced that they will perform at Orange Warsaw Festival I said: ok it could be super to see them live... but like always another ideas, another events, no money, no time. However... good that whole universe is sometimes fighting for your forgotten dreams :) So in this moment I wanna tell Thanks to good people who told me: WE MUST GO! who bought me a ticket for a concert and for the train to Warsaw, who took care for a place in a train for me and who worried about the way how I will spend homeless night in capital city :) thank you my music mates! :)
While I was waiting for the festival friday I didnt even expect how amazing it will be. Even at the stadium I had this feeling: what am I doing here? Especially at the Pixies performance which appeared totally not in my style ;) Later when I saw Queens Of The Stone Age I started to think that maybe maybe it will be good evening :) and suddenly! Omg...
When Kings Of Leon started to play then whole world around disappeared... Really I cant understand how it is possible that these guys play so awesome piece of music! Every little sound was on a right place, each melody was strongly touching heart, every word singed by Caleb was making some kind of emotional masakra in my head... Yes... I cried like always ;) and I know that not only me shed a tear there.
It was the perfect show: amazing combination of electric and bass guitar and awesome drums. And voice of Caleb Followill going straightly to the soul, people at the stadium who sing with him, beautiful visualizations at the stage... and simply amazing MUSIC! :)
Uff ;) so hard sometimes to write about unforgettable moments... hope next time when I start to think that some concert idea is crazy and old Togama should rather think about normal casual life ;) then I remind myself this post :) cause it is worth to convert dreams to the reality, even this forgotten dreams :)

First time ever I am so late at work and what I can say... Good that I have internet and the possibility of listening music. It is good occasion to check new song, like Habitat from Austra. Röyksopp - Something In My Heart

One week ago just I was after Crystal fighters concert in Krakow and I can say that was something extrange be in studio after more than one year when I was there a lot of times in students party. Was so good, full of people and the band bring a lot of power. The only bad thing that I can say its that the sound not was amazing, sometimes the guitar and bas remove the voice of womans. For today I wannna share the new song of royksopp, just now start to be dark in the city, I like the feeling that even is dark and cold the city non stop.

Hey, yes I am Maxfer :), maybe somebody cant remember me after some Togama's post, but I am back and again in Krakow. Some months ago we published a post about festival SOS48 in Spain where Crystal fighters were playing and I was so jelaous for cant be there, but... as i said before all come and this band is comming to Krakow, for it tomorrow what could be better than go to STUDIO club to see them. I cant wait to listen WAVE with my close eyes.

In this light and on this evening...

Do you hear
that beat? That’s the way how my heart is beating from yesterday... Today only
one question is in my mind – how to describe feelings which I have in my soul,
how to tell you about one of the greatest show I’ve ever been? It is hard to
find words...
I love this
band, deeply, truly, so I’m subjective like a hell ;) But I saw people around
me and I thought: oohh there is someone else who enjoy Editors music, who can
sing with Tom, jump to their music, shout and applause so much – so much that
you think roof will fall down on your head.
Moreover,
it is so good experience to be near the stage and see musicians so clearly,
almost feel their breath. Meeting them
after concert, taking photos and chatting a little – this is even better :)
I was sure
it will be big day for me, but... never dreamt it will kick me so hard! So...
thank you my beloved Editors for your music and concert passion. Thank you Tom Smith
for your expression and stunning voice.
My life is
so much better now! :)

The Boxer Rebellion

I started to check concerts in Warsaw and what? OMG how many... A lot of good bands will come to Warsaw in summer and autumn so why not to go there also? I wanna see especially one of them - The Boxer Rebellion - indie band from London formed in 2001. They've released recently amazing album named "Promises" so maybe they can also promise me good party with them on stage? We'll see...

Empire Of The Sun

During last weekend with my mind in Sos4.8 I had time also to listen normal radio, and... good choice because i could listen the new track of Empire of the Sun.
I have to admit that from them only I've listened one single "We are the people", Big hit that for sure everybody remember, in my opinion this new song also will be in the top list in UK for sure, so why not try a little listen them while Togama prepare the post for tomorrow and me about how was the Sos4.8 festival.

Vitalic is one of my electronic bands, it's only one guy from French, the same as M83, also from french and one single member.

Uniqplan

Today I want to tell you about one new Polish band - Uniqplan. Why? Yesterday I was on their concert in Cracow - it was the smallest event I have ever been. Standing few steps from the vocalist (quite handsome, I must admit... maybe it is power of guitar ;-) ), listening beats of drums under my feet - it was awesome!
I don't know how they do this... They are supporting concerts of so big bands like Turboweekend, Hurts and Gossip before even publishing first longplay. That's why it is so difficult to find their songs on YouTube... But don't worry, I found something for you :)
Listen, enjoy and wait till May - they promised to put out album then :)
